I take the privilege to welcome you all to the Department of Civil Engineering at GES’s Sir Dr. M. S. Gosavi Polytechnic Institute. Department of Civil Engineering is established in the year 2016 affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education and recognized by AICTE. Civil Engineering is deals with the design, construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment. Civil engineering offers huge challenge and vast career opportunities in Government Sector, Private Sector and also as an Entrepreneur. Civil Engineering is the mother branch of the engineering fields essentially dealing with all types of building structures, roads and highways, railways, bridges, tunnels, airport runways and terminal, water supply, sewerage systems, irrigation canals, disaster management, dams, power plants etc.

The aim of the department is to the fountain-head of quality education delivering civil engineers empowered with necessary knowledge, skill and personality who can lead the society towards sustainability. The laboratories of the department are well equipped with modernized machinery. Our department has highly qualified and experienced faculty members who mentoring the students continuously and involve them in consultancy activities which help in bridging the gap between theory and field work.
